TESTING THE MARKET ON PAGASA MEMBERS |
Wednesday, 13 January 2021 |
To test the viability of physical shopping at a time when the pandemic seems to lie low, PAGASA held a face-to-face Meeting with My Suki's Victor Javier, Ivan & Chris Cataluña on the eve of 13 Jan. 2021 at the Sports Lounge 1 of the Quezon City Sports Club. It was a case of finding out if PAGASA members were willing to come out to meet with each other in the flesh. Sports Lounge 1 was air-conditioned but the staff left the glass doors wide open so the air and elements (if ever the virus was air-born) inside the room would not be contained. Results proved that people were still hesitant to go out for any reason even if My Suki’s online proposition presented an opportunity for the members of the Association. Only six warm bodies dared to taste the good food that evening. |

A vigilant shopper sent this video to a social media platform and it went viral. Her observation that the health-hazardous puncturing of minute holes on powdery products packaged in plastic bags (like sugar, salt and the like) to let air out and make displays in supermarkets even and easier for stocking is very valid in view of the uncontained spread of COVID-19. PAGASA members were advised to refrain from this practice. |
